I made an appt on a Friday morning because 2 lights on my 2014 Mazda CX-5 were coming on and the car was having issues starting (although intermittently). The rep in the service department was very nice but was vague in the fact that my car would/wouldn't be completed the same day. I had not reserved a loaner, as I hadn't been to the dealership in 8+ years. When I called on Saturday, I kept being told the tech hasn't been able to diagnose it. To me that meant, car may need to be replaced and those lights are not good If the reps (i spoke to several different people) had just been honest and said, we are swamped and under-staffed and we aren't even going to look at your car until Tuesday, I wouldn't have been so irritated. I will say, once the car was looked at, I received a text with all the things that was wrong. Giving me the time to read it, call around and compare prices. Easy to just click a box to say "yes" or "not today". One item I thought I had done in December, but I hadn't, so I loved that I didn't feel the pressure with a tech on the phone throwing words and prices at me. My car was completed the next day and I was very happy. I think that you should definitely be more open in your communication that even though I had an appt, a tech may not even look at my car for several days. I never did obtain a loaner, as none were available the entire time. Overall, the experience wasn't bad, just a bit frustrating not having a car for 5 days.
